End of the Internship

I am almost at the end of my internship (I finish tomorrow) and am still in disbelief at how quickly it passed by. I have had so much fun working at 91.5FM and learning all that I can about what does on daily at a radio station and getting to go live on-air on multiple occasions. I will have finished having so much more knowledge and experience than I did when I started and I can’t thank 91.5FM enough for having me on board. I have been allowed to do some special features on the Afternoon Show which has surprised me as since I am an intern and not a professional DJ or radio presenter, the chances of me making mistakes are high! I love doing them though so I am happy that I have been given the chance to do them.

Yesterday I did a feature on the Afternoon Show with DJ Doris from 2.30pm-3pm. We did a feature which featured the on-going Phuket Seafood Fiesta Festival, the health benefits of Thai food and the upcoming Vegetarian Festival which takes place at the end of September. This was my first project where I had to come up with some fresh idea’s and create a radio feature from these idea’s. It was a challenge as I wanted to talk about something interesting and relevant to Phuket without sounding boring or unenthusiastic. Tomorrow I am going to be doing another, slightly longer feature on the Afternoon Show to mark the end of my internship. I won’t say what we will be talking about as that would spoil the surprise, so be sure to tune in!

So that’s it from me on the Listen to Phuket blog. Once again I thank 91.5FM for having me on board, and I hope you have all enjoyed my blog posts!
