Songkran festival or Water festival is falls on 13-15 April, celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year’s day, Songkran has been celebrated so many centuries and is believed have been adapted from Indian festival.

The most famous Songkran celebrations are in the north of Thailand, Chiang Mai province, continues for six days and even longer.

The most obvious celebration of Songkran is throwing water, along side the street you will see water containers or water guns. Beside trowing the wather Buddhist people also go to temples to pray and give food to the monks to bring good luck.

They may clean Buddha images and pouring water mixed with a Thai fragrance over them.

Songkran is  time for cleaning and renewal.

The biggest environmental problem that we have today is Global warming.Just switching something off if only one light for 60 minutes can help a lot to save the earth.

We all need to help preserve this planet to be with us long time for our children and our children. At present our world changes so fast Which is caused by human activities including most people failing to save energy.

That is the reason that people do not care to pay attention.To continue to use electricity and waste energy consumption are the main causes of global warming.Because of the electricity we waste every day in the burning with coal, oil and natural gas. The energy production process contributes to greenhouse gases and air pollution.

We need and should save energy.That will help reduce global warming. The world economy will get better and most of all sustainable world growth for our future.
